Community Programs

The Contemporary Artists Center's schedule of activities has contributed to a growing awareness of the importance of the arts in the Northern Berkshires. Exhibitions, openings, lectures and events draw many regional viewers.

These are some of the Community Programs we are working on. See our Calendar Events for exact times and topics. Remember, we are a non-profit and you can help promote the arts in our community by making a tax-deductible contribution to the CAC.

First Friday ArtWalk
The First Friday of every month in North Adams features the CAC curated ArtWalk. Several downtown businesses host a variety of art by local and national artists. Pick up a map at a participating business and browse the art in downtown North Adams!

Lecture Series
Join us for a summer lecture series beginning in July. Past participants have included: The Institute for Applied Autonomy, Peggy Diggs, Nato Thompson, Aaron Gach and Chuck Webster and the Barnstormer. The lecture series runs every Wednesday beginning in July through the end of August. All lectures are held at the CAC's galleries with special locations to be announced. Please check our calendar for dates and times.

Children and Youth Programming
The CAC welcomes collaboration with area child and youth organizations. Please contact the CAC if you would like to offer your organization a truly unique art experience
